Did you know that Herman Munster is 150 years old? His shoes may be called boats, and rightly so, because they are size 26C. He has differently colored eyes, and a 7 foot three height. Like Frankenstein, there are steel bolts in his neck and he has a green complexion. His ears don’t match, and he has a quite handsome lantern jaw. There’s also a distinctive five inch-long lightning bolt-shaped beauty mark stamped right on his forehead.
He was a real do-it-yourself project and I guess at the time, that matching parts were not available! Even though he was made in Germany, he left there when he was quite young and was adopted in England by a family called Munster. He loves to tell young jokes such as: My family’s in the steel and iron business. My father steals, and my mother irons. It’s not very well known that he graduated from Heidelberg University Medical School. It took six years, and he did it while he was located in several different jars!
He works at a funeral home called Gateman, Goodbury and Graves. Some might call the name quite ironic. Harvard thinks it’s appropriate. His boss has told Herman that he’s one of the very few people at the funeral parlor who doesn’t lie down on the job. He loves Pat Boone albums and is a member of the fan club. He also has a fondness for Huckleberry Hound and often watches that show with his family gathered around. The Munsters TV show was only on for a couple of seasons, but has garnished lifelong fans. This can tell you something about the endearing nature of the Munster family.
